Early Intervention Services:
Early intervention services for speech and language therapy are available through the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19 (NEIU19) for children ages 3-5. If you feel your child is in need of an evaluation, please call me at 570-553-1604 and I can fax a referral to the NEIU 19. You can also contact NEIU 19 directly: Joanne Esterline, Early Intervention Coordinator, at 1-800-228-1750 ext. 219 or Mary Murphy-Fox, Early Intervention Supervisor, at 1-800-228-1750 ext. 255. Speech/Language Support classes will be starting soon! I hope your child will enjoy working on his/her goals and objectives through the fun activities presented. You will be asked to review his/her speech homework in the "Speech Homework" folder in his/her Star Book.
Homework Information:
Students receive speech/language homework weekly in order to improve articulation, language, and/or fluency skills based on individual needs. Homework can be found inside the speech homework folder. Homework needs to be returned on the following assigned "speech" day (signed if requested). Students receive stickers for each assignment completed. Prizes can be earned when a determined number of stickers is received.
