Pennsylvania State Police-Troop-R will be sponsoring their annual Camp Cadet program this summer from July 15-20, 2012 at Marywood University, Scranton, PA. Students must be between the ages 12-15. This program provides the opportunity for students to experience the various facets of the law enforcement community. The camp is provided free of charge based on public donations & fundraisers. Applications for this program are available in the guidance office or online at: www.trooprcampcadet.com and must be received by April 15, 2012.

Garden Club Scholarships

The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania offers ten (10) scholarships annually, each a minimum of $1,000.00, to deserving high school and college students who plan to further their education in horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, city planning, land management and/or allied subjects. Students must be Pennsylvania residents, but they may attend college in any state. A local garden club must sponsor applicants.

The Garden Club of Montrose is a member of The Garden Club Federation of PA and we would be pleased to consider sponsorship of any qualified student. As Scholarship Committee Chairperson, please contact me regarding any questions. Deadlines are listed as February, 2012.
